Ingredients

  • 1 (5 pound) ready-to-eat ham
  • ¼ cup whole cloves
  • ¼ cup dark corn syrup
  • 2 cups honey
  • ⅔ cup butter

Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Score the ham and place the whole cloves between the cuts. Line a large pan with foil and place your ham into the pan.
  • Use a double broiler to heat the corn syrup, honey, and butter together. While the ham is baking in the oven, make sure you keep this glaze warm!
  • Brush some of the glaze over the ham, and place in the oven to bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • During this time, every 10-15 minutes, apply more of the honey glaze to the ham.
  • Once the ham has been baking for 1 hour and 10 minutes, turn on the broiler setting of your oven to caramelize the honey glaze.
  • After the 1 hour and 15 minutes of baking are complete, remove the ham from the oven and set it out to rest for a few minutes. Then, serve and enjoy!
